Currently employees submit paper timesheets and the time entry clerks
enter it into SAP (CATS), on behalf of the members. Since there is now a
need to capture additional custom fields (for e.g. reason codes, type of
duty, add'l text/memo fields, recoverable/non-recoverable, external
reference #, etc) purely for reporting purposes (not for Time or payroll
purposes), we were hoping to utilize this tool. The idea is that there
will be a direct interface with CATS, so that the 'electronic form' will
ONLY transfer the 'relevant' fields to CATS. The other fields (the add'l

We are aware that CATS has the ability to have up to 10 custom fields
but we found that any changes to these fields in CATS will trigger retro
pay (even though there is no pay impact) and this is not desireable.
Therefore we are looking for other options around electronic forms
processing that also allow us to track these add'l fields outside CATS
(but preferably inside SAP)
